Mia-Nelle Drøschler (b. 1978) is a Danish artist and writer whose interdisciplinary practice spans painting, sculpture, drawing, performance, and literature. Her work delves into the complexities of human experience, intertwining themes of spirituality, nature, and psychology to create evocative narratives that resonate on both sensory and intellectual levels.
Drøschler's artistic journey began with a BA in Fine Art from Goldsmiths University of London in 2010. Her career has since flourished, with exhibitions at esteemed galleries and museums across Europe. Notably, her recent solo exhibitions include More at Kulturarkaderne, Vordingborg (2024), and Vera and the Waitingroom at Eks-rummet (2022). Her group exhibitions feature Rylen på Limfjorden at Johannes Larsen Museum (2024) and participation in Corner 2017 at Sophienholm as a guest artist.
In addition to her visual art, Drøschler has contributed to the literary field with publications such as ELSK ELSK ELSK (2022) and Learn to paint (2023). Her dedication to exploring the human psyche and our intrinsic connection to nature is evident in her performances, including I Must Eat Myself Now at The National Museum of Denmark (2020) and Miss Lemon Moon at Marienlyst Castle (2019).
Drøschler's contributions to the arts have been recognized through various grants and residencies, including awards from the Danish Arts Foundation (2011, 2013, 2017, 2018, and 2022) and residencies at The Danish Institute in Rome (2019, 2021). She is an active member of the artist collective Corner and holds memberships in the Danish Professional Artists Association (BKF) and The Danish Women's Artist Association (KKS).
Currently residing in the Danish countryside, Drøschler draws inspiration from her natural surroundings, which deeply influence her creative process.
